Isotherm of exchange of metal and sodium cations on ferromanganese nodules

Abstract

The isotherms of ion exchange of metal cations (Sr 2+ , Ni 2+ ) and Na + on iron-manganese nodules were obtained. The ion exchange is described by an equation similar to the Langmuir isotherm. The values of the limiting sorption and apparent ion exchange constant were calculated. The effective radii of sorbed strontium and nickel cations were determined.
