Economic methods of sustainable development

Abstract
«We, undoubtedly, are the last generation which is capable of stopping the destruction of the living world before it is too late», Jacques Chirac, President of the Republic of Frаnce. According to the report of the World Commission of the United Nations on the problems of environment and development of «steady development is the development adequate to needs of the present, not depriving the future generations of an opportunity to answer their own needs». Steady development is a policy and strategies that aim at maintaining the economic and social development. Thus, taking care of the environment, mankind does not lose natural resources necessary for its activity. The paper outlines the term «steady development» as well as economic methods of its achievement.
