Abstract

Every year volume of energy consumption is increasing all over the world, but the number of sources is descending, either because of shortage of resources (oil, coal, gas) or because of problems related to their mining and processing (uranium). Scientific research on new strain converters, which could give both high coefficient of efficiency and work in extreme conditions, is still being carried on. So we need something more stable, than semiconductor electronics, in order to build nuclear power plants of new generation, build sea-vessels and starships with self-sufficient energy supply. This work represents data, obtained within a research on anisotropic plasma generated by thermo-emission converter. The main problem being discussed is the profitability and possibility of using and involving thermo-emission converters in our modern plasma energetic, e.g. as a power switch.
