Abstract

Regularities of formation and distribution of the zonal groundwater of the Eastern Caucasus have been considered. On the territory described the hydrogeological and hydrodynamic zones have been characterized. In the zone of active water-exchange preferential development belongs to fresh underground waters associated with alluvial deposits. The presence of deep faults in the Caucasian and anti-Caucasian areas, numerous intrusions of various ore-compositions led to the variety of mineral springs and regularities in their distribution.
