Abstract

The position of environmental technologies in the modern paradigm of sustainable development of oil and gas industry (OGI) is determined. The role of carbon dioxide capture and storage (CCS) technology as the mechanism of reducing CO2 emissions is defined. The concept of enhanced oil recovery technologies to the injection of carbon dioxide (EOR-CO2) in the context of OGI sustainable development is developed. The typology of economic incentives for the development and adoption of CCS technologies is suggested. The strategic objectives in the field of scientific research of the CCS technologies development are defined.
