Abstract

Experimental work on the use of the RGSC radar system for supporting regional gravimetric surveys in sparsely populated areas of the USSR showed that ground radio stations in some cases cannot be located in sufficient proximity to reference geodetic points, which complicates the physical referencing of the radio stations and therefore reduces the effectiveness of radio geodetic methods.
