On determining the efficiency of capital investments in the mining industry

Abstract

One of the most important indicators of the economic efficiency of capital investments, along with the cost of production, is unit capital costs, i.e. the amount of capital investment per unit of production. This indicator is especially important for industries with higher capital intensity – the extractive industry.
