Spatial and temporal content of rock-layer boundaries

Abstract
In the case of mutational layering, the layered boundaries of sedimentary strata act as either spatial or temporal boundaries. In the case of mutation layering, these boundaries contain spatial and temporal information. It is shown that when considering the migration mechanism of layering formation against the background of different sedimentation regimes, the same boundary can be transformed into temporal, spatial, and spatial-temporal boundaries.
