The ore field of the cobalt-copper deposit is confined to the zone of juxtaposition of large tectonic structures: the East-Tannuol anticlinorium and the West-Tannuol synclinorium. They intersect along the Ubsunur-Bayapkol deep fault, which can be traced from southwest to northeast for more than 100 km.
