Geochemical methods of prospecting for deposits of fluorspar are based on the detection of secondary fluorine dispersion halos in eluvio-deluvial sediments. Elevated fluorine content in loose sediments and scattering halos are usually detected by spectral analysis, which makes it possible to determine the gross content of fluorine in samples regardless of their mineral composition ...
In lithochemical prospecting for fluorspar deposits by secondary fluorine scattering halos, it is important to address the question of optimal depth of lithochemical sampling and the character of the material sampled from eluvial‑deluvial deposits. Analysis of the results of production work shows that errors in the methodology of lithochemical sampling and processing of lithochemical samples often lead to unfortunate mistakes and reduce the efficiency of prospecting.
