The multifaceted and fruitful pedagogical and scientific activity of Professor Vadim Dmitrievich Nikitin, Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences, of the Department of Mineralogy, is closely connected with the Leningrad Mining Institute, within whose walls he became an outstanding scientist, an expert on minerals, and a brilliant researcher of pegmatites.
