Heterogeneous equilibria involving metal carboxylates have been studied in sufficient detail. Based on the results of these studies, an extraction series of elements has been compiled, which makes it possible to predict the direction of possible ion-exchange reactions. At the same time, the kinetics of heterogeneous processes of this kind have not been studied, which hinders the elucidation of the mechanism of the reactions and the correct choice of equipment for carrying out the process.
