Within South Gissar, small intrusions and extrusive formations, represented by monchiquites, picritic porphyrites, camptonites, analcime basaltoids, monzonites and their transitional varieties, are widely developed. They occur among the Upper Paleozoic granitoids of the Gissar batholith and the volcanogenic sequence of Lower Permian age.
