The structures framing the Siberian platform are conjugated with the Ural structures along a clearly defined system of meridional deep faults extending from Kazakhstan (the Tokrau fault) across the West Siberian plate to Taz Bay and from there to the St. Anna Trough in the Arctic Ocean.
