Economic efficiency of methods for operational control of rock pressure parameters

Article preview

The intensity of manifestations of rock pressure is one of the main factors that determine the technical and economic performance of mining enterprises with the underground mining method. Thus, without a comprehensive consideration of manifestations of rock pressure, the problems of optimal planning of mining operations, the search for schemes of location, support and maintenance of mine workings, ensuring high productivity and safety of mining operations, cannot be successfully solved. The development of methods of operational control of rock pressure parameters is an important trend of technical progress in the mining industry.

Estimation of metrological capabilities of the equipment for measuring the manifestations of rock pressure

Article preview

Solving problems of operational monitoring of rock pressure parameters is connected with the necessity of obtaining a large volume of data on the stress-strain state of the rock mass and the support of workings. These data can be obtained promptly only with the use of special measuring apparatus, for example, that developed at the LGI. It makes it possible to receive information from a large number of various sensors located within the entire mine field at considerable distances from each other. As shown by pilot-industrial tests at the Mayak and Kaula-Kotselvaara mines, the effectiveness of such apparatus largely depends on metrological parameters.
