Investigation of injection well injectivity issues

Article preview

Creation of impervious blankets (PF3) around the "Mir" pipe does not solve the problem of utilization of highly toxic drainage brines: even under the protection of ASC in the quarry will be filtered brines with a flow rate of 300 m3/h and more.

Influence of organic matter on formation of groundwater chemical composition

Article preview

Studies in recent years show that organic matter plays a significant role in the formation of the chemical composition of groundwater. Let us consider this question on the example of the known ferruginous waters of the North-Dvinsky depression, made by glacial, interglacial and marine Quaternary sediments.

Peculiarities of gold water migration in the areas of peat-bog deposits development in the taiga landscape conditions

Article preview

The taiga region, in which the features of water migration of gold and other ore elements were studied, is characterized by flat, weakly articulated relief, deep seasonal freezing of soil-cover deposits and wide development of upper bogs.

Investigation of groundwater self-purification processes in the section of tailing ponds of the Phosphorit Combine

Article preview

The study of self-purification processes of natural waters in the study of surface watercourses and reservoirs has its own methods and traditions. For groundwater this direction is relatively new and promising ...

Protection of surface and ground waters in the permafrost zone in connection with open-pit mining of placer deposits

Article preview

Development of alluvial deposits of minerals is almost always connected with the necessity to include large volumes of surface water in the working cycle of mining enterprises. In the process of open pit mining, process water is enriched with a large amount of suspended material, the content of which in some cases reaches 15-20 g/L. A significant part of these process waters is returned to the river network. Annually within the Magadan region only from washing of metal-bearing placers 1-1,2 billion m3 of process water enters the river network. ...

Solubility of gold from ores of Kuranakh deposits of Aldan

Article preview

Solubility of gold in solutions of various inorganic compounds has been studied by many researchers. Experiments have been conducted with metallic gold in the form of plates, wire, powder and with thin films of gold on glass. Gold dissolves usually under the action of strong oxidizing reagents, such as free chlorine (its action explains the good solubility of gold in vapor vodka).
