Development, research and implementation of environmental equipment

Article preview

More than half of solid minerals are extracted in Russia by open pit mining. The development of large deposits is usually carried out by quarries of considerable depth, which is constantly increasing. Increasing the depth of quarries, as a rule, contributes to the deterioration of working conditions and atmospheric air pollution both in and around the quarries. A brief review of special quarry fans, designed for the organization of artificial ventilation of quarries by means of a brushless method, as well as installations for reclamation of slopes of rock dumps, is given.

Quarry plants on the basis of axial fans

Article preview

The development of open pit mining is inextricably linked to the intensification of mining production and increasing the depth of open pit mining. Intensification of mining production usually leads to an increase in the exchange of harmful substances in the form of dust and gases that pollute the air in open pits.
