The ability to reliably drill long horizontal directional wells often predetermines the selection of new efficient technologies in various industries.
Modern cone drilling machines for drilling wells from the surface are capable of drilling vertical or inclined wells up to 320 mm in diameter and up to 30 m deep. In the underground development of deposits are used wells drilled at any angle to the horizon, and machines for their drilling provide penetration of wells with a diameter of up to 105 mm and a length of no more than 100 m.
