Recently, anthropogenic sources of elastic vibrations have been of great interest in seismic exploration and seismology. Fluctuations arising from the rotation of a hydroelectric turbine are proposed to be used for Earth imaging, for observations of environmental changes associated with geodynamic processes, for studying dam vibrations.
