Magnetic susceptibility logging (MSL) is widely and successfully used in the exploration and mining of strongly magnetic iron ores. At the stage of exploration of magnetite deposits, and especially when calculating reserves using magnetic susceptibility logging data, it is often necessary to distinguish interlayers of slbomagnetic or non-magnetic rocks in the strongly magnetic magnetite ore.
