Estimation of hydraulic resistances at pneumatic impact drilling with foam

Article preview

The development of a methodology for calculating the depth of pneumatic percussion drilling with the use of gas-liquid cleaning agent seems to be very important for the correct assessment of the possibilities of pneumatic percussion drilling and determination of rational modes of supplying gas-liquid mixture (GMS), providing the maximum energy parameters of the pneumatic percussion at minimum pressure losses in the well.

Fundamentals of the theory and calculation of pressure during foam movement in a borehole

Article preview

Foam is one of the varieties of flushing agents, especially promising when drilling wells in complicated conditions. Practical development of this affective technological means requires a well-founded by calculations selection of pumping and compressor equipment, design of rational modes of circulation ...

Study of RP-111 pneumatic percussion hammer operation on gas-liquid mixtures with surfactant additives

Article preview

Currently, the most productive method of drilling exploration wells with air blowing is pneumatic percussion drilling. In 1979 about 200 thousand meters of wells were drilled by this method during exploration of mineral deposits ...

Предварительные исследования пневмоударного бурения с использованием газожидкостных смесей в качестве очистного агента

Article preview

The most productive method of drilling with air blowing is drilling with the use of submersible pneumatic drills. Application of this progressive drilling method is limited by complications caused by formation water inflows into the well, which cause formation of slurry glands and plugs ...

Application of hydrophobic emulsion for drilling through mudstones of the Exploration Formation of the Norilsk Region

Article preview

Well sinking in mudstones of the Exploration Formation is usually accompanied by collapse of well walls. This leads to high time consumption for wellbore development and re-drilling of collapsed intervals ...
