On the basis of comparative analysis of the mine main fan electric drive input voltage-current characteristics, a frequency-variable drive with pulse width modulation (PWM) rectifier and PWM inverter is shown to be the most competitive one because of its capability to independently implement the substation power factor correction and the mine air flow energy-saving control.
This paper estimates the quality parameters of electrical energy in the electrical network of the St. Petersburg State Mining Institute. Experimental studies and computer modeling allowed to establish the influence of non-sinusoidal currents of PC power units on the degree of voltage distortion and overestimation of neutral current.
The results of field, laboratory and analytical studies of the dynamics of air, methane and dust leakage in the mined-out space of mining areas of coal mines are outlined. Regularities of formation of explosive zones in mine workings and adjoining mined-out space are established.
