The results of research of a new electrocementation method of purification of sulfate solutions in the processing of zinc-containing technogenic wastes of non-ferrous metallurgy and chemical industry enterprises are presented.
On the basis of the results of theoretical and laboratory research and extensive tests, a new technology for recycling zinc-containing man-made waste of non-ferrous metallurgy and chemical industry was developed.
As a result of research it is established that according to ecological, economic and technological factors manufacturing of wall materials for low-rise building by a method of half-dry forming, based on a principle of "zone injection", is the most effective. Laboratory and semi-industrial tests of wall materials obtained from man-made formations according to the proposed technology are close to ceramic and silicate products in their physical and mechanical properties and are not inferior to pressed products manufactured on the equipment of US, Belgian and Italian firms.
One of the main reasons for the low degree of waste utilization is insufficient methodological study of the issues of assessing the environmental and economic efficiency of the use of technogenic raw materials. The methodology for calculating the integral ecological and economic effect of non-ferrous metallurgy waste processing has been developed, which allows for a more rational allocation and use of resources in the creation of new, reconstruction of existing production facilities and existing environmental protection systems, to increase the economic interest of designers, technologists, owners of enterprises and investors in the processing of secondary raw materials and technogenic formations.
