Mechanical properties of soils as a cause of inaccurate soil mechanics solutions

Article preview

Any state of the soil is characterized by certain physical and mechanical properties. The compression curve is a set of ground states, so it cannot be used to determine the deformation modulus of the initial state pound. Existing techniques for shear and triaxial tests also violate it. Tests should be conducted in the pressure range corresponding to the initial (natural or acquired) state of the soil.
