On the extraction of germanium from alkaline solutions

Isotherms of sorption of 2- GeO3 and 2- Zn(OH)4 on a synthetic sorbent are received. The thermodynamic description of sorptionisotherms analogue of the Lengmjur equation is offered. Values limiting and seeming constants of sorption equilibrium, apparent constants and Gibbs energy of reaction. Selectivity of sorption on anionite in relation to germanium is shown.

Some questions of development, application and production of germanium

Kinetics of zinc leaching from slag of lead-copper production

Optimal conditions of the leaching process have been found. Dependences of the process rate on the main technological parameters - temperature, concentration of reagents, L: H phase ratio - have been determined. Kinetic characteristics of the leaching process were obtained: reaction rate constants at different temperatures, apparent activation energy of the process.

Isotherm of exchange of metal and sodium cations on ferromanganese nodules

The isotherms of ion exchange of metal cations (Sr2+, Ni2+) and Na+ on iron-manganese nodules were obtained. The ion exchange is described by an equation similar to the Langmuir isotherm. The values of the limiting sorption and apparent ion exchange constant were calculated. The effective radii of sorbed strontium and nickel cations were determined.
