3D heat distribution in the construction of the reduction cell with burned anodes

The importance of heat field calculation for designing and analysis of aluminium reduction cells operation is described. The heat balance of the reduction cell was calculated. The 3D-geometry of the reduction cell with prebaked anodes was constructed. Given geometry helps to research the heat distribution of electrolyzer.

Development of universal model of catalytic reforming of gasoline

The article briefly characterizes the catalytic reforming process. The necessity of modeling of reforming reactors is shown. A universal model that allows analyzing processes in adiabatic plug reactors with both radial and axial feed of reactants is developed. It takes into account the ratio of reaction rates between the components of the group to reduce the number of independent variables. The model is developed using the ReactOp software package. The modeling results confirm the advantages of reactors with radial feed compared to reactors with axial flow. Suggestions for improvement and application of the model are given.

Mathematical modeling of control subsystem of aluminum electrolyzer with annealed anodes

Modeling of the control subsystem of an aluminum electrolyzer with annealed anodes is described. The task is set and control objectives are defined. Mathematical description of the electrolyzer as a control object is given. The model of the electrolyzer and control subsystem is built in MatLab package with the use of Simulink visual modeling tool.
