The problems connected with quantity and quality evaluation of the economical efficiency of iinnovations in the mining industry are considered in the paper. The essence of «novelty» for example for working ore mill is detailed. Changing key parameters of the technological process, which are not directly connected with «novelty» leads to necessity of making a three-factor (twofactor) mathematical model.
