The oil and gas industry of Russia starts to participate in the movement directed on modernization of technological processes according to appearance of modern automation, in particular, of geoinformation technologies. Application of these technologies allows to increase efficiency of all chain of processing and consumption of hydrocarbons.
The article is devoted to the problem of information systems classification as well as to such an urgent issue as providing information security in corporate information systems. The problem of various functional subsystems creation has to be considered along with the study of the possibility of guarding subsystems use.
