Review of the design experience in the open-cut development of a very large gold ore steeply pitching deposit are given. Complicating factors are previous underground workings and pressure subpermafrost waters. Opening of depth horizons by ore and rock incline conveyor shafts. Crushing of ore and rock in an open-pit mine before they are delivered to conveyors by semi-mobile crushers. Water depression by ring-type workings with transportation of the collected water by conveyor shafts.
