As our society rises on the steps of social progress, and the entire Soviet economy makes a turn to the path of predominantly intensive development, the scale and complexity of the tasks to be solved, the importance of labor activity and initiative of the masses is growing.

The financial and credit mechanism is the most important subsystem of the economic mechanism. All CMEA member countries use finances to increase the efficiency of the national economy.

Mineral and raw materials complex (MRC), which unites the industries engaged in prospecting, exploration, mining, processing of minerals and utilization of secondary resources, largely determines the successful development of the economy and scientific and technological progress of our country. About 40% of capital investments are spent on the development of the mineral resource base, and more than 18% of industrial labor resources are employed in the mining industries.

In modern conditions, further increase in the efficiency of social production is associated with the rational and careful use of labor, material and natural resources.

The level of efficiency of the use of fixed assets of mining enterprises is formed at all stages of the reproduction process, long before the moment of their creation and operation.

In the problem of economic efficiency of production, one of the leading places belongs to the development of natural resources and, above all, mineral resources. Modeling of capital investments in non-ferrous metallurgy is associated with the assessment of the state of the mineral resource base and options for its development with the subsequent justification of the reproduction structure of capital expenditures.

The management of the coal industry in the Czechoslovak SSR has undergone, since the formation of the socialist republic in 1948, a complex evolutionary path, which has largely determined the current state of the organizational structures of the industry.

Creation of the system of state cadastres of mineral deposits and, including the economic cadastre of industrial deposits of non-ferrous metals requires the formation of a powerful information base.

One of the most important conditions for improving the production and economic activity of the enterprise is to improve and expand the scope of application of on-farm calculation. Without its introduction it is impossible to implement economic methods of production management, and therefore, to ensure the interest of the entire enterprise and each employee in the results of their labo.

The share of the mining industry in the value of gross output is small - about 8%, which is explained by relatively low prices for raw materials. At the same time, mining industries account for about 30% of the value of fixed assets and about 40% of capital investments.

The total need of each branch in capital investments is determined by the following three factors: the necessary increase of funds, depending on the availability of funds at the beginning of the year and the planned development of production in the planned year; the necessary recovery of fixed assets; the creation of the necessary transition stock of unfinished construction.

Production associations (PA) of the coal industry have great rights in designing their own models of organization of self-financing, taking into account the peculiarities of the region.
