Abstract

Cylindrical and tapered surfaces can be joined by means of interference fit. This type of mating of parts is called a guaranteed interference fit. It is characterized by simplicity and manufacturability, possibility of application in mass production, good mutual centering of parts and load distribution over the entire seating surface.
