Abstract
The most widely used in the Russian quarries are SBSH roller cone drill rigs. Machines of this type are in need of modernization, in particular with the purpose of increasing the drilling efficiency. The method of increasing the productivity of the SBSH rig with the help of a top hammer and the effect of its use on the drilling speed are considered.
