Investigation of the efficiency of the cutting slot to reduce seismic impact during tunnel construction

Abstract
The paper considers the issue of seismic protection of the environment and protected objects during drilling and blasting method of tunneling. It is shown that the creation of a cut-off slot reduces the amplitude values of seismic blast waves at least three times. This experimental fact made it possible to use the cut-off slit for tunneling the gallery of the Krasno-Polyansky tunnel using blasting.
