Abstract
Features of element and mineral composition of the Alattu and Yanis gold occurrences in the Yanisyarvi district of South Karelia are considered. It was established that ore minerals in the Alattu deposit were formed during the pre-mining (arsenopyrite-quartz), early (gold-arsenopyrite), middle (freibergite-sphalerite-galenite), late (pyrrotite-gudmundite-native antimony), and hypergenic stages. The main (Au-As) and (Zn-Pb-Ag-Cu-Bi) elemental associations related to mineral associations of the early and middle ore stages were identified. The Au-Bi-Ag-Sn-Pb-W element association established in the Yanis deposit suggests a gold-red-metal ore type.
