Abstract

After disintegration of the USSR the basic part of deposits of manganese ores appeared to be outside the Russian Federation that has led to occurrence of a problem of maintenance of the industry by own manganese raw material. An alternative source of manganese ore can become shelf deposits of manganese nodules. Now all over the world the great number of mechanisms for development of sea-bottom is submitted, but they all of them possess have some lacks. One of their main lacks is difficulty or full impossibility of conducting production works on the big depths.
