Abstract

One of the safe and effective ways of isolation of toxic wastes at their underground disposal is their burial in specially designed structures in deep-seated non-porous geological formations, in particular in sodium chloride massifs. This article describes innovative technologies and new materials used for isolation of the decompacted boundary zone of underground toxic waste disposal sites constructed in saline rocks.
