Abstract

During prospecting and exploration work on deposits of solid minerals there is a need to study the deposit from the surface. For this purpose, ditches, pits (with or without sections), shallow exploration wells of core drilling, or a complex of these excavations is used. The method of exploration (density and configuration of the exploration network, type of sampling) is determined in all cases on the basis of the study of geological factors. If it is possible to apply all these types of exploration, it remains to decide which of them should be given preference. Other things being equal, the most economical method of stripping should be chosen, which at the lowest cost of time and material resources will give sufficiently reliable data on the explored object.
