Abstract

One of the characteristic features of the flow in the chamber of a mechanical flotation machine is its inhomogeneity. Air bubbles of varying size pass through any point in the chamber, capable of increasing in size as they float and coalesce. The inhomogeneity is particularly strong in the lower layers of the chamber, where the turbulent nature of the motion prevails. ...
