Abstract
The Kamenka Bay horizon is the lowest regional stratigraphic unit of the Devonian on Novaya Zemlya. Within the southern part of the archipelago (Vaigach-Yuzhno-Novaya Zemlya structural-facial zone) it includes a thick (700-1000 m) stratum of terrigenous-carbonate formations, which is divided into three formations (from bottom to top): the Propaschinskian, West Nogorskian and Karandean.
