Buffon, Fourier and Kelvin on the age of the Earth

Abstract
The imagination of the ancients gives you an abundance of definitions of the age of your world. For example, the Bible gives the Earth no more than 6 thousand years, and for the ancient Indian mythology and 4 billion years is not a term, it is one day of life of Brahma.
