Characterization of the Artinskian Stage of the Orenburg Urals by foraminifers

Article preview

The team of the stratigraphopaleontological party of the Leningrad Mining Institute under the direction of V. P. Pnev since 1973 has been engaged in a detailed study of the sections of deep oil exploration wells drilled by the Orenburg Production and Geological Association in the Orenburg Priuralsky area.

Fusulinids of terrigenous sediments of the Lower Permian of the Aktyubinsk and Orenburg Pre-Urals.

Article preview

On the basis of the evolutionary development of ammonoids, V. E. Ruzhentsev developed a tier scale for the Carboniferous and Lower Permian deposits of the Southern Urals. Stratotypes and reference sections of the Orenburg Stage of the Upper Carboniferous of this scheme, as well as the Asselian, Sakmarian stages and two horizons of the Artinskian Stage of the Lower Permian are located in the territory of the Aktyubinsk and Orenburg Urals and are represented by marine terrigenous sediments ...

The Aidaralashi section - a reference section of the Asselian Stage

Article preview

The Aidaralashi section is located in the Aktyubinsk Priuralie on the right bank of the Aidaralashi River, a left tributary of the Zheman-Kargal River, 7-8 km downriver from the Novorossiyskiy settlement. The section reveals a thick (1200 m) thickness of sandy-clayey fleishoid deposits, in the composition of which the authors distinguish three horizons of the Asselian Stage, corresponding to three fusulinid zones ...

On the two-member division of the Asselian Stage in the Mezen River basin based on the study of fusulinids

Article preview

Within the Mezenskaya Depression, the Carboniferous and Permian sediments have no natural outcrops on the day surface; they are uncovered by boreholes drilled in the last decade in the settlements of Verkhny Smolenets, Koinas, Selishche, Maibas and Fominskoye.
