Melts containing chlorides of certain metals have found wide application in chemistry and metallurgy. The production and refining of titanium, zirconium, vanadium and other metals is based on the use of the properties of such melts. In many cases, melts are used under conditions of dynamic interaction with the structural materials of process equipment.
