Use of data on the state and properties of rocks in predicting the conditions of development of the Leningrad oil shale deposit

Article preview

As experience in the development of reservoir deposits, the main geological process that prevents the normal conduct of mining operations, is a violation of the stability of the roof and soil of underground workings, which entails complication of operating conditions and safety of miners, and in addition leads to loss and dilution of mined minerals, sharply reduces the possibility of using modern means of mechanization.

About dependence of wellbore stability on the degree of ignimbrite argyllization on the example of one field of the North-East.

Article preview

The practice of exploratory drilling within the field indicates that the overwhelming number of complications and accidents during well sinking is associated with zones of argillized ignimbrites, genetically related to ore mineralization.
