Drilling a huge number of exploration wells within the Leningrad oil shale deposit leads to a significant change in the regime and balance of surface and ground waters of the area, which causes serious environmental changes in the environment.
The practice of exploratory drilling within the field indicates that the overwhelming number of complications and accidents during well sinking is associated with zones of argillized ignimbrites, genetically related to ore mineralization.
Reconstruction of paleoclimatic conditions of glacier formation is currently based on the results of isotopic studies of ice, the study of the temperature field of the glacier cover, spore pollen analysis and patterns of change in the content of mineral microparticles by depth ...
The study of the character and nature of crystal-optical orientation in the glacial cover is a very labor-intensive but extremely important task. This is due to the fact that the spatial position of the main axes of grains reflects the deeply hidden internal characteristics of the city, most closely related to the peculiarities of the formation of the ice sheet as a whole
When studying ice from the core of Shubina boreholes 250; 75 and 952.5 m drilled respectively at 50 km, 353 km and at Votok station, two types of air inclusions were identified. The first of them can be traced to a depth of 940 m and owe their origin to loose packing of atmospheric ice crystals in the process of accumulation. In the snow strata, cavities of this type are located between aggregates of converged grains and are made by atmospheric air ...
The formation of the granitoid massif is associated with the Laramian phase of Alpine folding and dates to the Upper Cretaceous. Having broken through the sedimentary-volcanogenic rock strata, the intrusion consolidated in the central part of the Okhotsk-Kolyma watershed, which represents the southwestern wing of the Gizhigin synclinal zone. The massif is elongated in the northeastern direction in accordance with the dominant strike of the lateral rocks and has a lenticular shape in plan. The length of the body in the largest dimension is 63 km with a maximum width of no more than 18 km
