At present, there is a large number of methods for interpreting magnetic anomalies. Each of the proposed methods has specific advantages and disadvantages, but they have in common that as a result of the interpretation can be unambiguously localized only the special points of the harmonic functions describing the fields studied.
Almost half a century ago, A.D. Arkhangelsky drew attention to the fact that the most common and commonly observed type of magnetic anomalies associated with the internal structure of the basement are band anomalies.
Aeromagnetic survey has long been widely used to study the geological structure of the Baltic Shield. It is used to reliably map massifs of intrusive rocks, discontinuities, individual fold structures, in the structure of which there are relatively strongly magnetic marking horizons.
When studying the geological structure of the Baltic Shield, aeromagnetic survey has long been widely used to identify massifs of intrusive rocks, discontinuities, mapping of individual fold structures in the structure of which relatively strongly magnetic marking horizons take part ...
The equivalence of the external magnetic field of a simple two-dimensional anticlinal fold and a dip-less low-power reservoir shown in the works opens the possibility of applying the interpretation methods developed for the latter simple model, and in the interpretation of magnetic anomalies of more complex fold structures ...
