In the field of structural mechanics, the forces in the bars of unmodified trusses resulting from static loading are often determined using the graphostatic method of constructing a combined Maxwell-Cremona diagram.
Nowadays, more and more attention is paid to the study of bottom-hole cleaning processes, especially in connection with the widespread use of various cleaning agents that cause changes in the operability of rock-destroying tools.
One of the modern high-performance methods of drilling in rocks of UII-XII categories of drillability is percussive rotary drilling with the help of submersible pneumatic percussion drills ...
One of the first priorities in Antarctica is to study the ice covering the continent. This article provides some thoughts on the possibility of using transportable equipment requiring relatively low energy costs in core drilling in Antarctica. Mechanical destruction of ice is supposed to be carried out with the help of a special design crown reinforced with iris-cutters made of hard alloy. The sludge formed during ice destruction will be carried out from under the end face of the crown by the flow of cleaning agent, which can be air, kerosene or paraffinic diesel fuel.
Constant improvement of exploratory well drilling technology, caused by increasing depths of exploratory wells, as well as the ever-increasing complexity and diversity of geological and technical conditions, has led to the creation of a large number of different flushing agents. Currently used flushing agents - from air and natural gas to weighted clay solutions - have very different physical properties that have a significant impact on the drilling process and the main indicators of drilling.
