Compensation of supply station reactive power by means of the mine main fan electric drive

On the basis of comparative analysis of the mine main fan electric drive input voltage-current characteristics, a frequency-variable drive with pulse width modulation (PWM) rectifier and PWM inverter is shown to be the most competitive one because of its capability to independently implement the substation power factor correction and the mine air flow energy-saving control.

Control of energy quality parameters in networks with nonlinear load

This paper estimates the quality parameters of electrical energy in the electrical network of the St. Petersburg State Mining Institute. Experimental studies and computer modeling allowed to establish the influence of non-sinusoidal currents of PC power units on the degree of voltage distortion and overestimation of neutral current.

Изложены результаты натурных, лабораторных и ана­литических исследований динамики утечек воздуха, метана и пыли в выработанном пространстве добычных участков угольных шахт. Установлены закономерности формирова­ния взрывоопасных зон в горных выработках и прилегаю­щем к нам выработанном пространстве.
