As part of VNOT-2023, the robots that won the qualifying round of the RTK Cup robotics competition were determined

As part of the VIII All-Russian Occupational Safety Week, the RTK Cup: Krasnodar Region and RTK Mini Cup: Krasnodar Region competitions were held from September 27 to 29. These competitions are for young engineers, students, and schoolchildren who create robotic systems for work in extreme conditions.

During the RTK Cup, ground robots designed by the participants must pass through a special obstacle course - a labyrinth consisting of sections simulating rough terrain and urbanized environments, as well as the consequences of disasters. Each team must present a fully functioning robot, pre-assembled on any element base, which in two attempts lasting 10 minutes each, can demonstrate: cross-country ability (ability to overcome rough terrain, blockages, climbs, descents, etc.), manipulator operation (ability to collect objects and deliver them to certain areas, press buttons, turn cranes, etc.), autonomy (ability to read QR codes, autonomously follow a line, etc.).

According to the results of the competition in the large training ground, the first place went to Mikhail Yalda with the robot "Mars-2", the second place was taken by the team "Proffi" consisting of Lev Korepin and Semyon Vovk, representing the Station of Young Technicians of the city of Sochi. The top three winners were Alexei Kostin and Artem Volkov from the team "Bober", also from the Sochi association.

On the last day of the competition, almost all the participants of the RTK Cup also took part in the mini-version of the competition, which is held on a small training ground. The list of winners remained almost unchanged: the titles of champion and vice-champion were won by the teams Mars-2 and Proffi, respectively, and people from Sochi, Mikhail Borisov and Andrey Krivobochenko and their robot Voskhod1, also rounded out the top three.

“The RTK Cup competition has been providing schoolchildren and students with the opportunity to demonstrate and test their technical projects for almost 10 years. The participants get the opportunity to solve complex technical problems and motivate them to develop further in such a difficult field as robotics. We are very pleased that there are more and more projects every year, and the proposed solutions are becoming more and more interesting. The VNOT site is a comfortable environment for holding and popularizing competitions, forming new youth teams. And all the participants in the competition have a great future!” noted the head of the RTK Cup project, Svetlana Stankevich.

The competition is held with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

At the All-Russian National Occupational Safety and Health Conference, employers proposed creating an expert community to support businesses and assist occupational safety and health specialists

As part of the VIII All-Russian Occupational Safety Week (VNOT), a session was held entitled "What is happening with occupational safety in Russia: statistics, facts, trends. Results of an independent study", following which an initiative was launched to create an expert community for specialists in the field of occupational safety and industrial safety.

"We are witnessing the creation of a single expert community, including businesses, companies engaged in outsourcing of occupational safety services, and specialized specialists related to this area. Large businesses will address this initiative to social partners and we will have a single channel for interaction," said Olga Kondratieva, Head of the Department of Engineering Ecology and Occupational Safety at the National Research University "MPEI", Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, who moderated the session.

This statement was an initiative within the framework of discussions at platforms in which Opora Rossii, Delovaya Rossiya, Rostec State Corporation, Rosatom State Corporation, Russian Railways, Gazprom PJSC, Polyus PJSC, and NLMK PJSC took part.

"Information about incidents is very important, because now we have something happening in one company, and the neighboring one does not know. At the association level, we could share different cases, situations and ways to solve them. In addition, we could warn all members and prevent similar situations in the future. Why reinvent the wheel if someone has already invented it," said Pavel Zakharov, Director of Occupational Health and Industrial Safety at NLMK.
