VII All — Russian Conference with international participation "Digital technologies of the future in Geosciences — modern solutions"

Vladivostok will host the VII All-Russian Conference with international participation "Digital Technologies of the Future in Geosciences - modern solutions", including a Youth School seminar (ITES 2025).

The goals and objectives of the Conference are to present reports by leading experts on relevant research areas in the field of digital technologies of the future for Earth sciences: big data, cloud technologies, artificial intelligence, digital twins, unmanned aerial vehicles, etc. It is also important to discuss issues of digital popularization of scientific activity, as well as issues of involving young people and students in science and organizing interaction between scientists representing various fields of knowledge.

Goals and objectives of the Conference:

Presentation by leading experts of reports on current research areas in the field of digital technologies of the future for Earth sciences: big data, cloud technologies, artificial intelligence, digital twins, unmanned aerial vehicles, etc. It is also important to discuss issues of digital popularization of scientific activity, as well as issues of involving young people and students in science and organizing interaction between scientists representing various fields of knowledge.

Areas of work of the Conference

During the conference, modern achievements obtained in the framework of four main research areas, including their practical applications, will be considered.

The first combines developments related to the specifics of data (including Big Data) in geosciences: new concepts and methods, tools for their collection, integration and processing in various information systems, including data-intensive systems.

The second is related to the development and adaptation of artificial intelligence methods and technologies to solve scientific, and in particular, geological and geophysical problems.

The third is with digital information analysis and processing tools and virtual assistants.

The fourth is the popularization of scientific knowledge.

The main topics of the Conference:

  • Unified geological data platforms
  • Cloud technologies for data integration, processing and analysis, visualization in the collaborative mode of geographically distributed user geologists
  • Development and adaptation of artificial intelligence methods and technologies for solving geological problems.
  • Artificial intelligence and natural language processing technologies for scientific research in geology. Experience in using machine learning technologies in forecasting and diagnosing geological processes
  • Remote sensing of the Earth from space.
  • Unmanned aerial vehicles in geological exploration: creation of terrain maps, orthophotoplanes, three-dimensional models of terrain and objects on it, as well as detection of various anomalies of a geological nature, etc.
  • Digital counterparts of geological objects and processes Modern digital systems for the popularization of geological knowledge.
