Dear Colleagues!
We wish to invite you to contribute to a thematic volume of the "Journal of Mining Institute" that will focus on the results of both fundamental and applied research work aimed at a comprehensive study of the Antarctic.
The authors have the chance to focus on studies of the ice sheet, subglacial reservoirs, bedrock, and geothermal heat flow, with an emphasis on drilling and geophysical work as the primary tools for studying the Antarctic ice sheet and lithosphere. It is also proposed to address the present issues with logistics and infrastructure support for research and environmental protection.
The thematic volume welcomes original research and review articles in the following areas:
- geology and geodynamics;
- mineralogy and geochemistry;
- glaciology and subglacial environment;
- paleoclimatology;
- geophysical research;
- technology and equipment for drilling glaciers and subglacial rocks;
- technology and equipment for studying subglacial reservoirs;
- infrastructure and logistics support for research work;
- environmental ecology.
All articles are indexed in international databases such as Scopus (Q1) and Web of Science (Q2).
